A strong commitment to agriculture and quality is the foundation of Hopewell Valley Vineyards. "Great wines are born in the vineyard but are raised in the winery," says owner Sergio Neri. "Quality grapes along with quality wine making techniques are the key to great wines. That's why we are deeply committed to growing our own fruit."
Currently, the vineyard sits on a seventy-five acre farm located just off Route 31 in Hopewell Township, Mercer County. Forty-five of these acres are now dedicated to viticulture.
Well-known traditional vinifera varieties like Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero and our signature variety Barbera from the Piedmont region of Italy; together with New Jersey favorites like Chambourcin, Vidal, and Traminette are among the varieties currently planted.
