Hopewell Valley Vineyards is a winery dedicated to the creation of handcrafted wines by blending Old World traditions with New World flair. Our mission is to provide a relaxing, quaint and beautiful environment where to experience world class wines, enjoy the company of friends and create long-lasting memories.
We have molded three generations of traditional European winemaking experience with the challenges and excitement of establishing a state of the art vineyard and winery in the heart of the New Jersey terroir.
Our award-winning wines coupled with our renowned Old World hospitality has made Hopewell Valley Vineyards not only a place to purchase excellent local wines. . . . but a destination in itself.
The vineyards lie at the base of the Sourland Mountains and in close proximity of the Delaware Valley, with heavy soils of clay and shale agriculturally classified as clay loam. The total acreage of the vineyard is 75 acres with 20 acres dedicated to viticulture. A plan to develop an additional 20 acres of vineyard is underway. Besides vinifera varieties such as Pinot, Chardonnay and Barbera, we grow Vidal Blanc, Chamboircin and Traminette that are proven champions of the North Atlantic wine country. Research is also under way for other promising varieties developed by Cornell University and other grapevine breeders such as Noiret, Chardonel, Marquette and Baco Noir.
