THE GRAPE: Sangiovese is the most planted varietal in Italy (>11%) and in Tuscany but can also be found in many other regions in Italy. It's origin is thought to be from the Etruscan era (before the Roman Empire). Sangiovese is  the main composition of many wines, some of which are well known such Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Morellino di Scansano, Sangiovese di Romagna , and many others. Wines made from Sangiovese tend to exhibit the grape's naturally high acidity as well as moderate to high tannin content and lighter color. Blending can have a pronounced effect on changing the flavor profile and character of the wine.

VINTNER'S NOTE: Our Sangiovese Riserva is carefully selected from the best vintage years  and undergoes winemaking process as the regular Sangiovese except for a longer refinement in oak casks (up to 16 months) and longer bottle aging (6 months minimum).

BLEND: Sangiovese, Barbera, Chambourcin

VINEYARD  SIZE:  0.5 acres

TASTING NOTES:  A robust blend of Sangiovese, Barbera, and Chambourcin crafted with love  and passion for red wines by our vintner Violetta which has been described as ".......a victorious, voracious, voluminous, vivifying vino". Excellent with red meat dishes, pork, rack of lamb, roast duck, and spicy vegetable dishes.            Serve at room temperature.

THE GRAPE: best vintages of our Sangiovese, Barbera, and Chambourcin (see individual grapes under our wine menu)

VINTNER'S NOTE: V is produced by selecting the finest vintages to create a unique blend.  The grapes selected for this wine vary from vintage to vintage and  are carefully selected to create a flavor profile  that is bold with heavy body and intense tannins and yet smooth and drinkable due to the refinement in French oak casks and long aging in bottle.
